The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Softball for the week of April 7th through April 13th.
Softball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Paige Wilson I P I Pacific Lutheran | JR | Carlsbad, Calif. | Carlsbad
Wilson earned two complete game wins over the weekend, pushing the Lutes to a tie for first place in the NWC standings. Wilson pitched 10 innings, allowing just seven hits and three walks while striking out four and limiting hitters to a paltry .184 batting average.
Softball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Paola Garcia I OF I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Downey, Calif. | Warren
Garcia hit .571 at the plate with a 1.571 slugging percentage in a four-game sweep of Willamette. Garcia had five extra base hits, including four home runs with 12 RBIs and five runs scored. Garcia had a hit in all four games of the series and belted home runs in three of the four games to put the Lutes in a tie for first place in the NWC standings.
