The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Golf for the week of March 3rd through March 9th.
Women’s Golf - Student-Athlete of the Week
Abby Matelski I George Fox | JR | DuPont, Wash. | Steilacoom
Matelski was the top GFU finisher at the star-studded Westbrook Invite, shooting a 149 (+7) for the tournament. The junior had two birdies and an day one score of 73 (+2) before one birdie and a 76 (+5) on day two. Thanks in part to Matelski's efforts, the Bruins finished fourth in the tournament, ahead of three nationally ranked teams and NWC foe Whitworth.

Simonds shot a 73 (+2) and took home medalist honors at the Washington Cup to kick off the spring golf season.
