The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Softball for the week of March 10th through March 16th.
Softball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Tyler McNeley I P I Linfield | JR | Lakeview, Ore. | Lakeview
McNeley made three appearances in the four-game sweep of Willamette, including two complete game shutouts. She capped off the weekend with a two-inning save to hold onto a 3-1 win. The junior allowed zero runs and just five total hits over 14 innings pitched, striking out eight and walking two. Opponents batted just .106 against McNeley in the series.
Softball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Paola Garcia I OF I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Downey, Calif. | Warren
Garcia finished a six game tour of California with a .455 batting average with 10 hits, eight RBIs, and six runs scored. Two of Garcia's 10 hits went for extra bases, belting a triple and a home run, helping the Lutes finish the trip with a 5-1 record, including a doubleheader split with 19th-ranked Chapman.
