Women’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Sophia Hardy I G l George Fox | JR | Happy Valley, Ore. | Nelson
Playing the game down two regular starters, Sophia Hardy was sure to help the Bruins take down Lewis & Clark in their lone matchup of the week. The junior was perfect from the field, shooting 7-7, to score 17 points in the game. In addition, Hardy pulled down seven rebounds to help Fox beat the Otts, 75-66.
Men’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Tanner Overby I G l Willamette | SO | Portland, Ore. | Lincoln
Overby had another incredible weekend as the Willamette Bearcats won both games, an 88-78 win at Puget Sound and an 99-70 win at Pacific Lutheran. Overby led the Bearcats in scoring both games with 38 points against Puget and 25 points against Pacific Lutheran, on a total of 23 of 32 shooting (71.8%) for the weekend. Overby also averaged 5 rpg, 1.5 apg, 1 stg and 1 bpg on the road trip.
