Johnson & Hageman Named NWC Golf Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athlete of the Week in Golf for the week of September 23rd through September 29th.

Women’s Golf -  Student-Athlete of the Week
Ashlyn Johnson I George Fox | FR | San Mateo, Calif. | Hillsdale

Johnson impressed in just her second collegiate tournament, nearly winning the Division II Saint Martin's Invitational. The freshman shot a 75 (+3) on day one and a 70 (-2) on day two to finish in second place with a 145 (+1). Johnson had four birdies on the last day, with three coming on the back nine alone, as the Bruins finished seventh in the D-II Invite.

Men’s Golf -  Student-Athlete of the Week
Charlie Hageman I Lewis & Clark | SO | Lake Oswego, Ore. | Mountainside

Hageman became the first Lewis & Clark men's golfer to win an event since 2014, when he placed first out of 46 golfers at the Orange & Black Invitational. The Pioneers sophomore shot a tournament-low round of 69 (-3) on Day One and posted a 75 (+3) on Day Two to finish with a two-day total of 144 (Even). Hageman finished one stroke ahead of Whitman's Grady Brown (145, +1). In five rounds this season, Hageman has gone under par three times and is averaging 71.20 per round.
