Women’s Golf - Student-Athlete of the Week
Katelyn Lam I George Fox | SO | Sugar Land, Tex. | William P. Clements
In a field full of nationally-ranked contenders in the Fall National Preview, Lam was the top-finishing player for the Bruins. Lam shot a 77 (+5) in the first round and a 75 (+3) in the second, notching three birdies on her final day to finish 36th overall with a total score of 152 (+8).
Men’s Golf - Student-Athlete of the Week
Matthew Durkin I Whitworth | SR | Spokane, Wash. | Gonzaga Prep
Durkin opened the 2025 fall season with a medalist honor at the Whitworth Fall Invitational last Sunday and Monday (Sept. 14-15). He birdied the final hole of the tournament to finish 67-69 - 136 (-6) and win by one stroke. Whitworth finished second as a team. Over the weekend at the St. John's (Minn.) Fall Invitational in St. Cloud, he finished sixth among a field of 119 players from 19 teams, many nationally-ranked. He shot 69-74 - 143 (-1). Three of his first four rounds of 2025-26 have been in the 60's.
