Teeter, Ma’ae, & Meade Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of September 9th through September 15th.

Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Hayden Teeter I QB I Puget Sound | SR | Shoreline, Wash. | Kings

Teeter had a record-breaking game against Southwestern University, going 53-86 for 585 yards and 6 touchdowns. He broke two school records for both completions (53) and pass attempts (86), and helped the team break the total offensive yards record with 647. His offensive production picked up in the fourth quarter, as the team put up 30 points in a near-comeback against the Pirates. To go along with his impressive offensive stats, he only had one interception in 86 pass attempts. 

Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Rylan Ma'ae I LB | Pacific | SR | Kapolei, Hawaii | Kapolei

Ma'ae helped lead the Pacific defense to a shutout performance this last Saturday at Willamette, their first shutout in over two years. Up 21-0 late in the 3rd quarter, Ma'ae intercepted a pass and took it 30 yards for a touchdown, furthering the momentum for the Boxers, leading to a 42-0 win. Ma'ae also finished with 3 tackles and a QB hurry as the Boxer defense stifled their opponents passing game to a 38% completion rate and ended up with 5 interceptions.

Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Connor Meade I WR/KR I Pacific Lutheran | SO | Tacoma, Wash. | Silas

Meade took the opening kickoff 90-yards for a touchdown, setting the tone in a 42-16 blowout win over Simpson. Meade finished the day with two returns for 103 yards and a TD while also catching two passes for 35 yards.
