Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kai Sorenson I Distance I Pacific Lutheran | JR | Sacramento, Calif. | McClatchy
Sorensen clocked a personal best time in the 800-meters, winning the event at the PLU Spring Invite in 1:52.77 while also earning a win as a member of the Lutes' 4x400-meter relay team (3:23.57). His PR in the 800 is the fourth fastest 800 time in school history and currently is the fastest time in the NWC and the 17th fastest 800 time in D3 this outdoor season.
Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Steeley Mucken I Throws I Willamette | SO| Silverton, Ore. | Silverton
Mucken set a Willamette school record in the Javelin on Saturday with a throw of 65.50m at the Jenn Boylan Memorial Invitational hosted by Linfield University. That throw is the fourth best in NCAA Division III so far this year and leads the Northwest Conference, just over 2' further than the throw by Whitworth's Cody Wheeler on Friday.
