Baseball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Jake Swenson I P I Linfield | SO | Camas, Wash. | Camas
Swenson put on a clinic against Pacific Lutheran over the weekend, setting the Linfield program record for strikeouts in a game with 17. Swenson pitched all nine innings and allowed just two hits and gave up one walk in his dominant performance. The sophomore kept the Lutes off the board as the Wildcats pulled away for a 6-0 victory.
Baseball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kyle Memarian I OF I Whitworth | SR | Vancouver, Wash. | Skyview
Memarian batted .692 (9-13) in the series vs. Willamette. He hit for the cycle in the opener, getting a triple in his first at-bat and a home run in his final at-bat. Over the course of the weekend he improved his batting average by 49 points, from .375 to .424. He drove in five runs vs. the Bearcats and scored twice.
