Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Scholtes I Distance I George Fox | SR | Vacaville, Calif. | Vacaville
Scholtes put together a PR time in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational, showing his speed in the 1500m with a time of 3:50.27. The senior's time was good for 12th in the nation, and is five places higher than the nearest NWC competition in Ryan Stracke.
Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Luke Nelson I Pole Vault I George Fox | SO | West Linn, Ore. | Wilsonville
Nelson totaled a PR mark in the pole vault to win the Lewis & Clark Larry Byerly Invite, also cementing his place in the national conversation. Nelson's vault of 15-11.75 won the event by over six inches and was nearly three feet better than his non-George Fox NWC competition. The sophomore's mark is good for 16th in the nation, 11 inches better than his closest conference foe.
