Women’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Riley Buese I Distance I Lewis & Clark | SR | Denver, Colo. | Northfield
Buese won the 5,000M in dominant fashion on Saturday at the L&C Larry Byerly Invite. The senior ran the 20th-fastest time in NCAA DIII this year, as she crossed the line in 16:51.56. Buese finished 27.03 seconds ahead of the second-place competitor from NAIA Southern Oregon University and edged the second NCAA DIII runner by over three minutes. Her time is the fastest in the NWC this season by 18.70 seconds.
Women’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Madison Carr I Throws I Whitworth | JR | Spokane, Wash. | West Valley
Carr won the shot put at the Whitworth Twilight, setting a school record with a distance of 45'-11.25". Her mark now leads the Northwest Conference and ranks fifth in NCAA Division III.
