The George Fox women's golf team leads the Northwest Conference midseason poll, earning eight first-place votes and 64 total points. Head coaches from around the conference voted on the poll.
The Bruins, who won their 11th consecutive NWC title in 2024, remain the team to beat. Whitman sits second with 56 points and the lone remaining first-place vote, while Whitworth follows in third with 51 points.
Pacific (43 points) holds fourth place, ahead of Pacific Lutheran (34), Lewis & Clark (28), Puget Sound (23), Linfield (17), and Willamette (8).
The 2024 NWC Fall Classic played a key role in shaping the standings. George Fox finished first at 5-over-par (296+285=581), followed by Whitman (315+307=622) and Whitworth (317+318=635). Pacific placed fourth (319+323=642), while Pacific Lutheran (686), Lewis & Clark (693), Puget Sound (708), and Linfield (738) rounded out the standings. Willamette did not field a full team.
Individually, George Fox’s Alison Takamiya won medalist honors at 3-under-par (71+70=141), followed by teammate Makensie Toole (73+70=143) and Pacific’s Bead Boonta (73+73=146).
Final NWC standings will be determined by a combined stroke total from all three NWC Tournament events. The team with the lowest aggregate score will be crowned NWC Champion and earn an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Golf National Championship.
