Boyle & VandenHoek Named NWC Women’s Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Track & Field for the week of March 18th through March 24th.

Women’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Madeleine Boyle I Distance I Lewis & Clark | JR | Menlo Park, Calif. | Menlo-Atherton

Boyle ran the fastest time in the NWC this season in the 5,000M to finish in first place at the Oregon Preview. She beat her PR in the event by 33.46 seconds to finish first out of 20 competitors in the 5,000M B race. Boyle crossed the line in 17:49.54 to end the race 4.10 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Her time is nearly 20 seconds faster than the second-best time in the NWC this season.

VandenHoek placed first in the Westmont Collegiate Classic on March 22nd, recording a nation-leading throw of 40.04 to become the first DIII athlete to break the 40m mark all year.
