Softball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Nicole Ledendecker I Pitcher I George Fox | FR | Medford, Ore. | South Medford
Ledendecker pitched 10 innings this weekend against PLU, giving up 0 runs in both of her outings. On Saturday she came in relief, pitching 3 innings, striking out three batters, and only allowing three hits to close the game for the Bruins. On Sunday, Ledendecker pitched a complete seven innings, shutting out the Lutes, striking out two and walking one. In all 10 innings, she did not allow a single extra-base hit as she handed the Lutes their first shutout loss of the season.
Softball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Sharon Tomei I 1B I George Fox | SR | Santa Clarita, Calif. | Saugus
Tomei hit .466 on the weekend against PLU, hitting three home runs in three consecutive at bats, including a game-winning two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning on Sunday. She finished the weekend with seven RBIs, two doubles, and three home runs.
