The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of March 4th through March 10th.
Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Stracke I Distance I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Puyallup, Wash. | Rogers
Stracke won the 5,000-meters in 14:43.13 at the PLU Open, a time that is the fastest a Lute has ever run on the home track. Stracke won the race by 11 seconds and was over a minute better than the next fastest collegiate competitor. Stracke ranks fourth in all of D3 in the event and owns the fastest 5K time in the NWC this season.
Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Micah Ragaza-Bourassa I Throws I Pacific Lutheran | SO | Cheney, Wash. | Cheney
Ragaza-Bourassa was the top D3 finisher and fourth overall in the hammer throw at the PLU open with a PR toss of 156' 3". Also was seventh in the shot put (42' 2 ¾"). His hammer throw mark is the 10th best in D3 this season.
