Women’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Korin Baker I F | Whitman | SR | Waucanda, Wash. | Curlew
Baker averaged a near double double in two mammoth road wins by the fifth-ranked Blues at Pacific Lutheran and Puget Sound. Her best performance came on Friday against PLU when she posted game highs of 21 points and 14 rebounds. She also added a game-high two blocks to go along with two steals, and shot over 50% from the floor (7-13). The next night she shot a perfect 6-6 from the floor for 16 points in another blowout win.
Men’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Miles Nash I G | Pacific Lutheran | JR | Peoria, Ariz. | Brophy
Nash averaged 23.5 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, and 5.5 assists per game in a pair of games against the Whits. The junior came off the bench and dropped 24 points in just 27 minutes of action with eight boards and eight assists in an 84-76 win over Whitman to knock the Blues out of first place. The following night Nash again came off the bench, scoring 23 points against Whitworth. He finished the weekend shooting 50.0 percent (15-for-30) from the field and 88.9 percent (16-for-18) from the charity stripe.
