The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Softball for the week of February 18th through February 24th.
Softball- Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Abigail Loomis I Pitcher I Willamette | JR | Canby, Ore. | Canby
Loomis pitched five scoreless innings to earn the victory in Willamette's 10-0, 5-inning win over Corban University. She struck out four batters and allowed only four hits without any walks.
Softball- Player - Student-Athlete of the Week
Maggie Fleischmann I 2B I Willamette | SO | Fresno, Calif. | Central
Fleischmann helped Willamette to a doubleheader sweep of Corban University by going 2/4 on the day with 4 RBI, 3 runs scored, and 2 stolen bases. A model of consistency, she was 1 for 2 in each game with two runs batted in and a stolen base. She scored two runs in the game two win for the Bearcats after scoring one run in the opening game. She also had a perfect fielding percentage on three chances at second base.
