The Whitman College Blues have secured the 2025 Northwest Conference (NWC) regular season title, capping off an outstanding campaign with an unblemished 16-0 conference record and a stellar 24-1 overall performance. As the No. 1 seed, Whitman will serve as the host for this year’s NWC Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Accompanying Whitman in the four-team tournament are George Fox University, the University of Puget Sound, and Linfield College. The George Fox Bruins claimed the No. 2 seed with an 11-5 conference record, while the Puget Sound Loggers and Linfield Wildcats both finished at 10-6. Based on NWC tiebreaking criteria, Puget Sound secured the No. 3 seed, with Linfield taking the fourth and final spot in the tournament.
The NWC Women’s Basketball Tournament is set for February 28 through March 1 at Whitman College. Semifinal action begins on Friday, February 28, with No. 2 George Fox taking on No. 3 Puget Sound at 6:00 p.m. The top-seeded Whitman Blues will follow with an 8:00 p.m. matchup against No. 4 Linfield.
The championship contest will be held on Saturday, March 1, at 6:00 p.m., where the two semifinal winners will battle for the NWC Tournament title. The champion will earn the Northwest Conference’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
