With the 2025 Northwest Conference softball season on the horizon, the NWC’s head coaches have cast their votes in the annual preseason poll, selecting Linfield as the favorite to claim their seventh consecutive conference title.
The Wildcats earned seven first-place votes and totaled 42 points to secure the top spot in the poll. Lewis & Clark, which received the remaining first-place vote, finished second with 36 points, followed closely by Pacific Lutheran in third with 31 points.
Willamette landed in fourth place with 27 points, while George Fox rounded out the top five at 21 points. Whitworth (18 points), Pacific (12 points), and Puget Sound (9 points) completed the poll.
Conference competition is set to begin on March 8th as teams compete for the conference title. The Northwest Conference Softball Tournament is scheduled for May 9-11th, the regular season champion will earn hosting rights for the entire tournament.
