The Linfield Wildcats have been selected as the preseason favorite in the 2025 Northwest Conference baseball poll, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches. Linfield earned 57 points and received five first-place votes following a 12-12 conference record in 2024.
Whitworth secured the second spot with 51 points and two first-place votes, while defending regular-season champion Whitman placed third with 38 points. Willamette, the defending tournament champion, finished just behind in fourth with 37 points and one first-place vote.
Pacific (35 points) took fifth place, followed closely by George Fox in sixth with 34 points and one first-place vote. Pacific Lutheran finished seventh with 33 points, followed by Lewis & Clark in eighth with 30 points. Puget Sound rounded out the poll with nine points.
Northwest Conference play is set to begin on March 1, with the NWC Baseball Tournament scheduled for May 9-11. The regular-season champion will earn hosting rights for the tournament.
