Women’s Soccer- Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kate Short I MF I Puget Sound | FR | Denver, Colo. | East
Short had a great weekend for the Loggers, scoring both goals against the Blues on Saturday. Her two goals were her seventh and eighth goals of the year, as she finished conference play with six goals, which is good enough for the third most in the conference. Her goals helped the Loggers become co-champions and receive a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Women’s Soccer- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Abby Winkler I GK I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Portland, Ore. | Grant
Winkler made 10 saves over the weekend in a pair of Lute home shutouts to earn a share of the program's ninth straight league title. She made seven saves in a 1-0 win over Whitworth before playing 70 minutes in goal in a senior night win. Winkler has allowed just two goals over the last 13 games.
