Lasconia, Assink, & Rembisz Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of October 21st through October 27th.

Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Sytyn Lasconia I WR I Lewis & Clark | FR | Ewa Beach, Hawaii | Saint Louis

Lasconia became only the third Lewis & Clark player to post four receiving touchdowns in a game in Saturday's homecoming tilt against Northwest Conference leaders Whitworth University. The first year posted a line of 10 receptions for 166 yards and four scores. He posted the first four touchdowns of the day for Lewis & Clark and scored from 8, 42, 36 and 45 yards out. His second and third touchdowns came on 4th down and he became the first Pioneer to achieve the feat since 1990. 

Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kuyper Assink I DE | George Fox | SO | Lynden, Wash. | Lynden

Assink was a force to be reckoned with on the defensive line, putting up a career-high three sacks in Fox's win over Puget Sound. The sophomore's three sacks were for 17 yards, and put the Logger attack on their heels. In addition to his TFLs, Assink had one QB hurry.


Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ben Rembisz I K  I George Fox | JR | La Center, Wash. | La Center

Rembisz contributed 12 points in the Bruins' 48-23 win over Puget Sound, battling through strong wind gusts of over 20 mile per hour for an efficient kicking day. The junior made both of his field goal attempts, one from 27 yards and one from 23, and all six of his PATs. On kickoffs, he also booted two touchbacks.
