Scott & Takemoto Named NWC Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Volleyball for the week of October 14th through October 20th.

Volleyball - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Lexie Scott I OH/OPP I Willamette | SO | Seabeck, Wash. | Klahowya Secondary School

Across three Willamette wins, Scott led all athletes in kills in every match. Versus both George Fox and Whitworth Scott recorded 24 kills, and in a three set win over Whitman she had 16. All in all Scott contributed 4.9 kills per set and a 0.250 hitting average to help move the Bearcats up in conference standings. In recent weeks, Scott has soared to first in conference play in kills per set, currently at 4.33.

Volleyball - Defense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Dream Takemoto I DS/L I Willamette | SO | Waipahu, Hawaii | Punahou

Takemoto showed off her defensive prowess last week, leading all athletes in digs in three Willamette wins. She picked up 23 digs versus George Fox, 21 against Whitworth and 22 from Whitman. Takemoto leads conference play in digs per set with 5.38, nearly a full dig per set ahead of the competitors.
