Liggett, Davis-White, & Beswick-Seidl Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week
The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of September 3rd through September 9th.
Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Evan Liggett I WR I Whitworth | SR | Kirkland, Wash. | Lake Washington
Liggett had a huge game in Whitworth's 40-7 win at Gustavus Adolphus. He caught eight passes for a career-high 183 yards, with three touchdown receptions of 36, 39, and 43 yards. He also had an interception on a Hail Mary on the final play of the first half that he returned 37 yards.
Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kalen Davis-White I LB I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Hilo, Hawaii | Hilo
Davis-White led the Lutes with nine tackles, including eight solo while also forcing a fumble, having two TFLs, and recording a safety in PLU's dominant 43-0 road win over Simpson (Calif.).
Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Nick Beswick-Seidl I PK/P I Willamette | JR | Boise, ID | Boise High School
Beswick-Seidl kicked the game-tying 21-yard field goal with four seconds left and the game-winning 35-yard kick in the second overtime as Willamette defeated La Verne 27-24. He also had 5 punts for a total of 183 yards (36.6 avg) and was responsible for all five Bearcat kick-offs.
