Bantolina, Morasch, & Tabor Named NWC Football Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of September 10th  through September 16th.

Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Brody Bantolina I RB I Pacific | JR | Ewa Beach, Hawaii | ‘Iolani School

In Pacific's 34-24 win over Lewis & Clark, Bantolina rushed for 256 yards and two touchdowns. His 99-yard touchdown run in the third quarter broke the school record, previously set in 1975, for the longest rushing play. 

 

Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Sam Morasch I DB I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Covington, Wash. | Kentlake

Morasch had two interceptions, one pass break-up and five tackles on Saturday. He was a part of a defensive unit that allowed just 10 rushing yards and only 227 total yards on the day against Concordia. 

 

Football - Special Teams - Student-Athlete of the Week
Thomas Tabor I P I Linfield | SR | Seattle, Wash. | O’Dea High School

Tabor played a crucial role in flipping the field time and again for Linfield. In a back-and-forth game like Saturday, the punter often is the difference maker. Thanks to Tabor's six punts for 270 yards, Linfield stayed competitive in this matchup until the very end. Tabor had a long of 50 and averaged an amazing 45 yards per punt.
