The Whitworth Pirates earned 55 points and four first place votes to take the top seed heading into the 2024 volleyball season, as voted on by NWC head coaches. The defending NWC Champions, the Pacific Lutheran Lutes, earned three first place votes and 51 points, followed closely by Puget Sound with 47 points and one first place vote.
George Fox earned the fourth place spot with 43 points while Willamette landed in fifth with 36 points. Pacific ranked sixth with 31 points, followed by Linfield with 24 points and one first place vote. Whitman (22) and Lewis & Clark (15) round out the poll.
The top four teams following regular season play will advance to the NWC Conference Championship Tournament. The tournament will be held at the #1 seed November 15-16th. The tournament champion will receive the Northwest Conference’s AQ into the NCAA tournament.
Conference play will begin September 17th.
