The Pacific Lutheran Lutes have been selected as the favorite heading into the 2024 men’s soccer season, as voted on by NWC head coaches. The Lutes earned eight first place votes and 64 points to take the top spot. The Whitworth Pirates followed just behind with one first place votes and 57 points.
Whitman ranked third in the poll with 48 points, followed by Puget Sound with 40 points. Willamette finished just behind with 38 points for fifth. Pacific (Ore.) earned 27 points for sixth and Linfield earned 24 points. George Fox (17) and Lewis & Clark (9) round out the poll.
Conference action picks up September 18th. The regular season champion will receive the Northwest Conference’s AQ into the NCAA Tournament.
