Hillsboro, Ore. - The Whitman Blues claimed the title of 2024 Northwest Conference baseball regular season champions for the first time since 1952. The Blues ended the regular season with a 16-8 conference record and earned hosting rights for the NWC Baseball Tournament.
The Blues will be joined by the Willamette Bearcats, Whitworth Pirates, and Pacific Boxers. The Bearcats earned the number two seed in the tournament with a 15-9 conference record, followed by the Pirates with a 14-10 record, and the Boxers at 13-11.
The double elimination tournament is set to take place May 10-12th with all games being played at the number one seed, Whitman. Game 1 will take place Friday, May 10th at noon between Pacific and Whitman. Game two will follow at 3pm between Willamette and Whitworth.
The championship game will be contested at noon on Sunday, May 12th; the winner will be crowned the NWC Baseball Tournament Champion and will receive an automatic qualifying bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
