Stracke & Olmstead Named NWC Men’s Track & Field Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of April 1st through April 8th. 

 

Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Stracke I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Puyallup, Wash. I Rogers

Stracke was the top D3 runner in the 1,500-meters at SPU's Doris Heritage Invitational, placing second overall in season-best time of 3:54.61. Stracke's time is currently the second fastest in the NWC this spring. 

 

Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Carson Olmstead I Pacific Lutheran | SO | Toledo, Wash. | Toledo

Olmstead was the top D3 athlete in the javelin at SPU's Doris Heritage Invitational with a personal best throw of 197' 6". Olmstead's throw ranks second in the NWC in the event and ninth in NCAA Division III this season.
