Women’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Macy O’Hara I Lewis & Clark | SR | Portland, Ore. I Oregon Episcopal
O'Hara recorded a pair of second-place finishes and top-10 marks in program history against a stacked field at the John Knight Twilight Invitational. Racing against a field made up of DII, NAIA and community college competitors, O'Hara finished in a tie for second place in the 200M with a time of 25.30. The mark moved her into 19th in DIII this season and was the fastest time by a Lewis & Clark runner since 1989 (second fastest all-time). She came back and placed second in the 100M with a time of 12.57. Her mark moved her into 61st this year in DIII and sixth in program history.
Women’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kira Hawaaboo I Linfield | SO | Enumclaw, Wash. | Enumclaw
Sophomore Kira Hawaaboo added her name atop the Linfield track and field record book on Saturday at the Jenn Boyman Invitational. Hawaaboo set a new school record in the women's long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 9¾ inches on her final attempt, Hawaaboo eclipsed the 26-year-old Linfield long jump record of 18-8¾ . Her mark currently stands fourth among all NCAA Division III women's long jumpers. In addition to competing in the long jump on Saturday, Hawaaboo also ran the anchor leg of the winning 4x100-yard relay, which recorded a time of 49.75 seconds.
