Softball - Position - Student-Athlete of the Week
Brynn Nelson I 2B I Linfield | JR | Bonney Lake, Wash. I Bonney Lake
Nelson's effort on offense helped Linfield to a four-game series sweep of Lewis & Clark this past weekend. Nelson hit .540 or better in all four games and totaled five hits with at least one coming in every game. She poured in three runs, six RBIs, drew five walks and mashed two home runs. The Bonney Lake, Wash., native leads the Northwest Conference in batting average (.551), hits (49) and OPS (1.515). Nelson also ranks among the leaders in home runs (8), RBIs (36) and doubles (7). Linfield continues to add to its best start in program history after moving to 32-0 after the weekend.
Softball - Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Rachael Rhinehart I P I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Woodinville, Wash. | Woodinville
Rhinehart earned two road wins inside the circle, including the program's first no-hitter since the 2017. Rhinehart struck out seven in a 5-0 no-hitter over Pacific before tossing five innings the following day, helping the Lutes win all four games against the Boxers. Rhinehart finished the weekend with a 1.75 ERA with 12 strikeouts while allowing just four hits.
