Vancouver, Wash.- The University of Puget Sound won the 2024 NWC Women’s Rowing Championship on Sunday, April 21st on Vancouver Lake in Vancouver, Washington.
The Loggers started off with a strong win in the women’s V8+ with a time of 7:19.60 before falling to Lewis & Clark in the 2V8+ race.
The defending NWC Champions, the Lewis & Clark Pioneers finished second in the V8+ before winning the 2V8+ race in a time of 2:51.25.
The Loggers earned 22 points to take the 2024 NWC title and the Judy McMullen Trophy which is awarded to the winner of the Varsity 8+ boat. Lewis & Clark finished second with 21 total points. Pacific earned 12 points for third after a third place finish in the V8+ race. Pacific finished fourth with 11 points after a fourth place finish in the V8+ race and a third place finish in the 2V8 race.
Pacific head coach Charlotte Copp was voted the Northwest Conference Coach of the Year by the other NWC head coaches.
