Women’s Golf- Co-Student-Athletes of the Week

Takamiya and Brown were both named to the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout All-Tournament team as the pair tied for fourth at the Division II team tournament held in Alameda, Calif. Takamiya stayed steady over the 36-hold tourney, totaling 26 pars, five birdies, and five bogeys to finish the tournament with an even-par 144., shooting a 73 in round one and a 71 in round two.
Brown, meanwhile, started the tournament with a round of 75 (+3) that featured two birdies and five bogeys, before roaring back into contention with a four birdies on the day and a second round score of 69 (-3); the junior's round was tied for the fifth-best in program history and moved her into a tie with Takamiya for fourth. Overall, the No. 1-ranked Bruins beat out nationally D-II ranked teams such as No. 16 Cal State San Marcos en route to a T3 finish.
