Rhodes & De Dora Named NWC Men’s Track & Field Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of February 26th through March 4th.

 

Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Alex Rhodes I Puget Sound | FR | Portland, Ore. I Lincoln

At the Ed Boitano Invite on Saturday, freshman Alex Rhodes took first place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.94, Rhodes broke the Logger outdoor 400-m record previously held by Jim Catalinch from 1972 with a time of 48.2 seconds. Rhodes scored in the top ten outdoor records for the Loggers in the 200-meter with a time of 21.94 and grabbed second place out of 35 competitors. 

 

Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Lucas De Dora I Puget Sound | SO | Dixon, Calif. | Dixon

De Dora grabbed a spot in the record books with his javelin performance, scoring 59.80m for the Loggers and taking first place off his initial attempt. De Dora took first out of 14 competitors at the Ed Boitano Invite on Saturday.
