Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Alexander Rhodes I Puget Sound | FR | Portland, Ore. I Lincoln
Coming off a national second place finish in the 400-meter at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, Alex Rhodes took first place in the 100-meter with a time of 10.82 and the 200-meter sprint races running in at 21.35 and moving up in the record book to #4 all-time in the 100-meter and #2 all-time in the 200-meter race. Rhodes dominated in the 4x100 relay with a team of Jacob Howmiller, Avery Keith, and Brogan Murphy winning in a time of 42.31, then also taking first place in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:24.01. Rhodes leads the NWC in the 200-m and the 400-m, while he holds a third place spot in the 100-m.
Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Steeley Mucken I Willamette | FR | Silverton, Ore. | Silverton
Mucken won the javelin throw at the Willamette invitational with a top distance of 193' 9.50". His winning mark ranks 8th in NCAA Division III this season and is 8th on Willamette's all-time list. All six of his throws in prelims and finals were good. His top throw was on his second attempt of the finals.
