Softball - Position - Student-Athlete of the Week
Sharon Tomei I INF I George Fox | JR | Santa Clarita, Calif. I Saugus
Tomei showcased her power at the plate on Saturday, hitting two home runs, including a walk-off home run in game two. Overall, Tomei had two runs, four hits, and two RBIs on Saturday.
Her success continued on Sunday, as Tomei had an impressive seven RBIs, including five in game one, to help the Bruins win in just five innings, 9-1. Additionally, on Sunday, Tomei had one run and two hits.
Softball - Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Maggie O’Leary I P I Lewis & Clark | SO | Kennewick, Wash. | Kamiakin
O'Leary went 2-0 on the weekend and allowed just one run in 10 innings to help Lewis & Clark earn a series win over host Pacific. The sophomore allowed six hits, three walks and one earned run over a pair of starts. She added seven strikeouts. On Saturday, O'Leary went 6+ innings and gave up one run in a 3-1 victory over the Boxers. She came back on Sunday and held Pacific to just two hits and one walk in four scoreless innings as Lewis & Clark earned a 9-0 mercy rule win in five innings. O'Leary is 4-0 in conference play with a 1.23 ERA in 22.0 innings.
