Hewson & Tully Named NWC Women’s Track & Field Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Women’s Track & Field for the week of March 11th through March 18th.
 

Women’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Amelia Hewson I Whitworth | SR | Seattle, Wash.  I The Northwest School 

Hewson won the 100-hurdles at the Sam Adams Classic with an NWC-best time of 14.97.  She was also part of the winning 4x100 relay that had a conference-best time of 47.85 on Saturday, the third-fastest time in Whitworth’s school history.
 

Women’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Grace Tully I George Fox | JR | Portland, Ore. | Westside Christian

Tully took down several other Fox vaulters at the Rich Allen Classic, winning the women's pole vault with her mark of 3.70m (12-01.50). After failing two marks, Tully cleared the mark on her third attempt for a personal best — and the second-best mark in the country.
