Brynn Nelson I 2B I Linfield | JR | Bonney Lake, Wash. I Bonney Lake
Junior Brynn Nelson started all six games in Linfield's six victories last week. Nelson tallied at least one hit in every single game and finished last week with 12 total hits. The Bonney Lake, Wash., added seven runs, five RBIs and a stolen base. Nelson ranks among the Northwest Conference leaders in batting average (.429), home runs (2) and hits (12).
Softball - Pitcher - Student-Athlete of the Week
Tayah Kelley I P I Linfield| SR | Myrtle Creek, Ore. | South Umpqua
Senior Tayah Kelley pitched 22 innings over Linfield's six wins last week. Against SUNY-Oneonta, Kelly pitched a complete game, giving up one run and piling up 12 strikeouts. On March 16 against Whitworth, Kelley pitched another complete game without surrendering a run while adding 10 strikeouts. On March 17, Kelley pitched a no-hitter in a complete five innings of work and came in to pitch the final three innings to earn the win in the series finale. The Myrtle Creek, Ore., native leads the Northwest Conference in ERA (0.23), complete games (6) and wins (8).
