Men’s Track - Student-Athlete of the Week
Keola Sanchez I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Waipahu, Hawaii. I Kapalama
Sanchez won the 100-meters and was the top D3 sprinter in the 200-meters at the PLU Invite. The senior won the 100 in 10.89 before placing second to a D2 runner in the 200, clocking a personal best time of 22.20.
Sanchez owns the fastest 100 time in the NWC this season and ranks sixth nationally and ranks 11th nationally in the outdoor 200.
Men’s Field - Student-Athlete of the Week
Jacob Slifka I Linfield | SR | Banks, Ore. | Banks
Senior Jacob Slifka put together a strong performance at the Lane Community College Open to lead the Linfield men's team in the field events. Slifka earned a second-place finish in the discus with a mark of 160 feet, 1 inch. Slifka's throw was the best among D-III competitors.
