Hillsboro, Ore. - The George Fox Bruins look to claim their seventh consecutive NWC Women’s and Men’s Track & Field title in the 2024 season. The Bruins have been voted as the favorite in the 2024 women’s preseason poll, as voted on by NWC head coaches. George Fox received 64 points and 8 first place votes. The Whitworth Pirates claimed second with 57 points and one first place vote.
Pacific Lutheran received 45 points for third, followed by Willamette with 40 points. Pacific (Ore.) landed in fifth with 36 points, just ahead of Lewis & Clark with 31 points and Linfield with 25 points. Puget Sound (18) and Whitman (8) round out the polls.
The outdoor season kicks off the first weekend of March. The NWC track & field multi event championship will be held April 8-9 at Willamette University and the 2024 NWC track & field championship will be held April 29-30th at George Fox University.
