Hillsboro, Ore. - The Pacific Boxers are predicted to lead the 2024 baseball season, as voted on by NWC head coaches. Following a 18-6 conference record and NWC regular season title in the 2023 season, the Boxers topped the polls with 62 points and 6 first place votes. The Whitman Blues placed second with 58 points and 3 first place votes.
The 2023 baseball tournament champions, Lewis & Clark landed in third with 50 points. Willamette received 43 points to finish fourth. Puget Sound earned 26 points for fifth, just ahead of Linfield with 25 points, Pacific Lutheran with 24 points, and George Fox with 22 points. Whitworth rounds out the poll with 14 points.
The regular season begins for most the weekend of February 17th with conference play picking up February 27th.
The NWC Championship tournament will begin May 10th at the #1 seed.
