Women’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Korin Baker I F | Whitman | SR | Waucanda, Wash. | Curlew HS
Baker helped lead Whitman to two wins at the UCSC Thanksgiving Classic. Baker posted 31 points and 10 rebounds vs. La Verne, followed by 22 points and 8 rebounds against Cal Lutheran. The 31 points was a team season high and was the second-highest scoring output in the NWC this season. It was also accomplished in only 18 minutes of action and on 13-17 shooting.
Men’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Kai Brown I G | Willamette | FR | San Diego, Calif. | Scripps Ranch HS
Brown came off the bench to spark the Bearcats to a sweep of their Southern California road trip with an 86-65 defeat of Caltech. The first-year guard scored a career-high 20 points in only 24 minutes of action. He was 5-7 from the field, including 2-4 from beyond the arc, and also made 8 free throws in 9 attempts.
