Link & Billings Named NWC Swimming Student-Athletes of the Week

The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Swimming for the week of October 29th through November 4th.

Women’s Swimming - Student-Athlete of the Week
Trinity Link I Puget Sound | FR | Gig Harbor, Wash. | Curtis

Link won the 200 IM (time ranked 6th in D3) and 100 free vs Whitworth. She also won on the 50 free and 100 fly vs. Whitman, and anchored the 200 medley relay to secure a 1st-place finish. Link’s times in all these events are ranked #1 in the NWC.
 
Men’s Swimming - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ezra Billinings I Lewis & Clark | JR | Fairbanks, Alaska | West Valley

Billings opened his Pioneers career by winning all four of his individual races and swimming the fastest times in the NWC thus far in the 50 Free and 100 Free. He swept the 50 Free and 100 Free in each of Lewis & Clark's first two dual meets and added wins in a relay in both competitions. In his first race at Lewis & Clark, Billings set the program record in the 50 Free by posting a time of 20.79 against the University of La Verne. He posted the fifth-fastest time in program history in the 100 Free (47.17) against Linfield University. Billings and the Pioneers 200 Free Relay team swam the second-fastest time in the NWC thus far (1:28.09) to beat Linfield by nearly 3.5 seconds.
