Women’s Swimming - Student-Athlete of the Week
Alayna Kisiday I Willamette | SR | Silverdale, Wash. | Central Kitsap HS
Kisiday helped the Bearcats dominate the women's freestyle events at the Bruin Invitational this past weekend. Kisiday finished first in both the 50-yard Free (25.20) and 100-yard Freestyle (54.41) races and finished second in the 200-yard Freestyle (2:00.14), just .06 behind teammate Jillian Price. She anchored Willamette's wins in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:40.66), 400-yard Free Relay (3:41.36), and 400-yard Medley Relay (4:05.31), while helping the team finish second in the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:51.43).
Men’s Swimming - Student-Athlete of the Week
Ezra Billings I Lewis & Clark | JR | Fairbanks, Alaska | Northern Michigan University
Billings swam the fastest time in the Northwest Conference this season in the 100 Free and posted top-8 times in the NWC in all four of his individual events at the very competitive Winter Collegiate Swim. Billings swam the second-fastest time in program history in the 100 Free (45.87) to qualify for the A Final where placed 7th overall. He also continued to dominate the 50 Free where he posted a time of 20.95 to finish 11th in the event. He is the only swimmer in the NWC to post a time under 21 seconds in the event this year. Individually, he added the fourth-fastest time in the conference in the 100 Fly (50.79 - 13th overall) and the eighth-fastest mark in the 100 Breaststroke (1:00.38 - 31st). Billings also swam on all five of the Pioneers relay teams. The 200 Free Relay team set the program record in the event (1:25.26) and posted the second-fastest time in the conference. The 800 Free Relay (7:05.94) also swam the second-fastest time in the NWC this season.
