Women’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Carly Martin I G | Whitman | SR | Palo Alto, Calif. | Palo Alto
Martin was voted tournament MVP after guiding the Blues to two wins at the Chuck Resler Tournament, hosted by the University of Rochester. In two dominant wins over Franklin & Marshall and Rochester, she averaged a tournament-best 14 points per game. Additionally, in the championship game against Rochester Martin dished out a game-high five assists.
Men’s Basketball - Student-Athlete of the Week
Momo Stokes I G | George Fox | SR | San Diego, Calif. | Bonita Vista
An All-Region player his junior season, Stokes picked up right where he left off, recording a pair of 20-point performances in a 1-1 weekend for the Bruins. The senior averaged 22.5 points on 16-29 (55%) shooting from the field, 3-6 (50%) from deep, and 10-12 (83%) from the free throw line. The senior also facilitated the ball well, recording five assists against Chapman and 10 assists in a double-double performance vs. CalTech. Stokes had only three turnovers to those 15 assists, chipping in four steals to boot.
