The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Football for the week of November 5th through November 11th.
Football - Offense - Student-Athlete of the Week
Luke McNabb I QB I Linfield | SO | Scappoose, Ore. | Scappoose
McNabb played a huge role in securing Linfield's eighth win of the season on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore finished with 101 yards through the air with one touchdown on 70% completion percentage. Where he really did his damage was on the ground– he racked up 73 yards on 12 carries and found the endzone twice as the Wildcats trounced Pacific Lutheran 38-10.
Football - Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kiegan Schaan I S | George Fox | SR | Medford, Ore. | Cascade Christian
In an effort to keep GFU in the game by holding #10 ranked Whitworth to their lowest offensive scoring total of the season, Schaan was all over the field making plays. The safety had one of the best games in program history, finishing with 18 tackles — the second-most in program history and the most in the NWC this season by two tackles. In addition to his tackles, Schaan had one pass break up and an interception right before the half to keep the score within striking distance at 7-0. The fifth-year senior also blocked a field goal, again stopping another scoring drive with four minutes left in the second quarter.
