Women’s Golf - Student-Athlete of the Week
Liana Brown I George Fox | JR | Los Angeles, Calif. | Notre Dame
Brown had the best individual round in George Fox women's golf history, re-writing the record book and finishing as the medalist of the Bulldog Fall Invitational. Against some of the top Division III teams on the west coast, the senior had an otherworldly stretch of four consecutive birdies on the front nine, with three birdies on the back. Her total for the second day of the tournament was 67 (-5), ending the tournament with a score of 136 (-8) — setting several program records along the way. Brown's 67 was good for the 18-hole record book, while her two-day score of 136 was also a record. At one point in the tournament, the senior rattled off six birdies in nine holes. As a team, the Bruins finished second overall.
