Women’s Basketball- Student-Athlete of the Week
Rilee Price I Point Guard I Pacific (Ore.) | SR | Brea, Calif. | Brea Olinda
In Pacific's come-from-behind double overtime 75-64 win over Willamette Tuesday, Rilee Price made a game-tying 3-pointer with 5 seconds remaining in regulation and then another game-tying 3 with 2 seconds remaining in the first overtime. Price finished with 19 points, three rebounds and two assists. She then added 9 points and 3 steals Saturday in a 59-44 win at Pacific Lutheran to help the Boxers improve to 5-1 in the Northwest Conference.
Men’s Basketball- Student-Athlete of the Week
Jai Deshpande I Guard I Whitman | SR | San Carlos, Calif | Sacred Heart Prep
Deshpande dropped 22 and 29 points in two wins against Linfield and George Fox, respectively to help the Blues to a 2-0 weekend. He was uber-efficient against Linfield where he shot 7-10 from the field and hit a game-high four three pointers (4-6). His 22 points were also a game high. Against George Fox he led all scorers with 29 points, third highest scoring output in the conference during league play and his six three pointers tied for the most during the league play.
