Women’s Volleyball- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Kassandra Staton I Outside Hitter I George Fox | SR | Albany, Ore. | Santiam Christian
Staton had a fantastic weekend, helping the Bruins to two wins against Whitman and Whitworth. In the first four sets of the Whitworth game, she recorded 3.7 kills per set. Offensively speaking, she also had zero service errors on the weekend, including one ace, out of 21 attempts, and recorded 26 kills over the two games. She also had 22 digs and only registered six errors throughout the eight sets on the weekend.
Women’s Volleyball- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Halle Hetzler I L I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Kailua, Hawaii | Le Jardin Academy
Hetzler led the Lutes in digs in both victories last week to remain in 1st place in the NWC standings. Hetzler had 34 digs in a 3-1 win over reigning NWC Champion Puget Sound before racking up 22 digs in a three set road sweep of Willamette. Hetzler finished the week with eight assists and five aces while averaging 8.0 digs per set. Hetzler ranks third in the nation in digs per set and sixth nationally in total digs.
