Men’s Soccer- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Lucas Carballo I F I Willamette | FR | Riverside, Calif.| Bloomington
Lucas Carballo led the Willamette offense against George Fox on Sept. 24 by scoring the game's first two goals and then adding two assists in the 6-0 win. He scored his goals at 10:41 and at 15:42. He took three shots during the game and all three were on goal. Against Puget Sound on Sept. 23, in a 3-1 win, he led the Bearcats with eight shots. Carballo was a key creator of the offense throughout the weekend.
Men’s Soccer- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Colby Reese I GK I Linfield | FR | Overland Park, Kan. | Blue Valley West
Freshman Colby Reese totaled 15 saves and two shutouts over two games for Linfield. Reese finished with four saves in the Wildcats' 5-0 victory over Lewis & Clark and tallied 11 saves on 25 shots faced against Pacific Lutheran helping Linfield draw even with the Lutes at 0-0. Reese's 11 saves helped Linfield get a draw against Pacific Lutheran for the first time since 2016.
